I signed up for looking after the classes about DNA that were held at SGGW. Kids were supposed to be extracting their own DNA. They simply had to rinse their mouths with Oshee and then spit it out. Next step was to add soap and ethanol, so the DNA isolate and become visible. Children could see these white small clots of their own DNA. After that they learned about the complementarity rule. I think the workshop was really interesting for them. It is very important that there is this part of a class that requires much involvement and their own work. My job there was to assist at those workshops and then help clean after them. Apart from that, I had to check the lists.
